DANCEBOX STUDIOS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DANCEBOX STUDIOS – ADULT TERMS & CONDITIONS
Dancebox Studios reserves the right to refuse admission to the studio.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations for classes can be cancelled or re-scheduled online with no charge up to 24 hours prior to the commencement of class. You will be charged for any cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice.
Unlimited Pass holders are permitted a maximum of 5 no-shows/late cancels per calendar month. Any additional no-shows/late cancels will be billed to the registered card at £8.50 per additional session on the last day of the month.
In the event that the Dancebox Studios cancels a class your class credit will be returned to your class pass.

MEDICAL AND HEALTH
By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions you confirm that you have no health problems including cardiac irregularities; spinal, bone, joint, tendon or ligament injuries; spells of dizziness; asthma or other breathing difficulty; diabetes; epilepsy or any allergy which may affect your participation in classes at the studio.
In consideration of being allowed to participate in the activities and programs of Dancebox Studios and to use the facilities and equipment owned and/or under the control of Dancebox Studios, you hereby waive, release and forever discharge Dancebox Studios from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from your participation in any activities or your use of equipment or facilities in the above mentioned activities.
It is the client’s sole responsibility to notify the studio before attending any session of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continued use of the studio and/or which may have arisen or worsened since their last session at the studio.
Clients are advised not to undertake strenuous physical activity without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition and wellbeing.
Clients with low/high blood pressure and/or cardiac irregularities should not attend class. If there is any doubt, the client should consult their doctor.

PERSONAL GROOMING, SAFETY AND HYGIENE
No crockery, glass or food is permitted in the studio.
Only closed containers of water are permitted in the studio.
No pets are permitted in the studio building.
Fire exits, which are clearly marked, are there in the interests of safety and clients must not interfere with these exits for any reason. In the event of a fire, clients are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit.
Smoking is forbidden in the studio building.
During class, clients will wear appropriate dance/fitness wear and will not wear outdoor shoes in the studio.
Dancebox Studios operates a 10-minute maximum late policy. This policy is in place to prevent injury and to be mindful of the teacher and other participants in the class. If you are more than 10 minutes late to a class you will not be admitted, but you will still be charged.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILM
Dancebox Studios may occasionally photograph or film classes for advertising and publicity material. Clients grant permission for the display, distribution, publication, transmission or otherwise of any photographs/video footage taken of them for use in material that includes but may not be limited to print, digital images or social media.

SAFE TOUCH POLICY
During classes, some physical contact may be necessary between the instructor and the client. Physical instruction, which involves safe touch, is an essential tool for effective teaching and learning i.e. awareness of correct muscle usage, good posture, correct line and breathing techniques.
Dancebox Studios instructors will always work in an open environment avoiding private unobserved situations. Any intention behind physical contact will be professional and unambiguous. Any physical contact during class will be firm, direct and necessary. All clients will be treated with respect and dignity.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Dancebox Studios does not accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen whilst on the premises. Any personal belongings should be stored in the bag store in the studio. Items should not be left in the waiting or changing areas.

DANCEBOX STUDIOS – JUNIOR SCHOOL TERMS & CONDITIONS

CANCELLATIONS, WITHDRAWALS AND PUNCTUALITY

Dance classes are paid for by contracted monthly automatic payment. No refunds will be made for dance classes missed. One full calendar months’ notice is required for all withdrawals, i.e. if you give notice 28 May, your contract will be cancelled 1st July, June will be the calendar months’ notice period. Final payment/s will be taken on receipt of the Class Cancellation Form. If the Dancebox Studios cancels a class, we will contact you by email or telephone. We will always aim to reschedule any cancelled classes but if this is not possible we will offer you credit to the value of the cancelled class. If your child does not exercise regularly you should consult your GP before participation. As with any dance-based tuition there is the risk of injury whilst participating in class. Dancebox Studios Ltd. is not responsible to evaluate if any child is medically fit to receive dance instruction.  The Parent/Guardian agrees to independently seek such medical advice. No pets are permitted in the studio building. Students must use the main entrance to the studio when entering or leaving the studio. Fire exits, which are clearly marked, are there in the interests of safety and must not be interfered with for any reason. In the event of a fire, clients are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit. Smoking is forbidden in the studio. During class, Members must wear the Dancebox Studios uniform as directed. Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the studio. Hair must be worn in a bun for ballet and swept back off the face for all other subjects.
