Georgina Butler began ballet classes aged two-and-a-half and simply cannot imagine her life without dance. She is trained to advanced vocational level with both the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).
Georgina is currently studying for a Degree in Dance Education with the Royal Academy of Dance. Having achieved ‘Distinction’ at both Certificate and Diploma levels since being accepted onto the programme in 2014. Georgina was awarded an academic scholarship bursary by the RAD’s Faculty of Education in July 2016. She is expected to graduate this summer and is currently featuring in the RAD’s 2017 social media campaign, having been invited to share her insights as a Dance Education student.
After graduating from university, Georgina trained as a journalist and built up a wealth of experience writing content for local newspapers before establishing herself as a dance and theatre specialist. She previews and reviews productions from the likes of English National Ballet, Northern Ballet and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and works with these companies, and others, to advocate dance whenever the opportunity may arise.
Georgina has experience of teaching dance to people of all ages and abilities, from tiny tots to advanced vocational students. She takes great pride in sharing her enthusiasm for learning, perfecting, performing and watching dance with every dancer she meets. She endeavours to help everyone in her classes recognise their strengths and progress positively.
Georgina also holds a valid Green Cross Level 3 First Aid qualification.
